2012年11月24日深圳海岸城，第三届深圳湾艺穗节，英国、德国、巴西、深圳等18个团队进行大巡游。孙玉臣摄

深圳，一座充满机遇与梦想的城市，吸引着无数追梦者奋斗于此；开放、包容、活力、创新的城市特性又让一句“来了就是深圳人”照进现实，成为追梦者们融入深圳，与这座移民城市共融、共生、共享的信心和底气。深圳不仅是继北京之后拥有56个民族的城市，也有来自世界各地的老外们。统计数据显示，深圳市临住外国人已达百万以上人次，其中常住外国人近三万多人，分别来自全球一百二十多个国家和地区，世界五百强企业在深设立分公司的超过两百家，在助推国际化城市建设的进程中融入其中，尤其是在“一带一路”倡议背景下，工作和生活在深圳的外籍友人共享鹏城美好。

从南山蛇口到大鹏半岛，从学校、社区、工厂、写字楼等场所，15年的时间里，媒体新闻摄影人孙玉臣始终把镜头聚焦于深圳外籍友人的工作和生活，捕捉和向世界讲述他们在深圳的故事。

Foreigners Livingand Working in Shenzhen

Shenzhen, a city renowned for its boundless opportunities to turn dreams into reality, is a magnet for a number of dream seekers. As a veritable saying goes, "you are a Shenzhener once you come here," the city of immigrants features openness, inclusiveness, vitality and innovation,fostering a sense of belonging, harmony and shared prosperity among its residents. Furthermore, Shenzhen is home to people of 56 ethnic groups, just like Beijing, and expatriates from across the world. Statistics show that the number of foreigners living in Shenzhen has exceeded one million, of which nearly 30,000 are permanent residents coming from more than 120 countries and regions. In addition, more than 200 of Fortune 500 companies have established subsidiaries in Shenzhen, propelling the progress of this international metropolis while integrating into it. Notably, the Belt and Road Initiative enables foreign nationals who work and live here to relish a fulfilling life.

Over the past 15 years, media photographer Sun Yuchen, whose footprint spans Shekou Cruise Home Port in Nanshan District,Dapeng New District and places such as schools, communities, factories and office buildings,focuses on the way foreign nationals work and live in Shenzhen by capturing their life stories and sharing them with the world.

孙玉臣，媒体新闻摄影人，原深圳报业集团《深圳日报》(英文)《深圳都市报》摄影记者，东北黑土生长，白雪异国踏路，南国鹏城一漂。有《镜头里的深圳》《镜头里的黑土》和《镜头里的日本》系列纪实、风光摄影代表作品;《夜樱》《弘前红叶》《冰溜子》油画作品。曾在日本举办《孙玉臣摄影油画展》。

Sun Yuchen is a media photographer andpreviously worked as a press photographer for Shenzhen Press Group's Shenzhen Daily and Shenzhen Metropolis Daily.Having grown up in Northeast China and travelled extensively abroad, he now calls Shenzhen his home. His works include a series of documentary landscape photographs such as Shenzhen in Photographs, Northeast China in Photographs and Japan in Photographs, as well as oil paintings like Sakura at Night, Red Leaves in Hirosaki and lcicles. In addition, he has held an exhibition in Japan titled"Sun Yuchen's Photography and Oil Painting Exhibition."
